This policy explains what personal information Flom Tech, operated by Flom Technologies LTD (“we”, “us”), collects when you use this website, our courses and our Sales & Inventory Tracker, and how we use and protect it. We process personal data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and other laws that apply to us.
Information we collect
- Account details: your name, email address and a password (stored only as a secure hash).
- Purchases: what you bought, the amount, the date and a payment reference. Card details are entered on Stripe's pages and never reach our servers.
- Learning activity: which lessons you have marked as complete.
- Tracker data: if you use the Sales & Inventory Tracker, the business, product, stock, sales, customer and supplier information you enter. This is yours; we only process it to provide the service.
- Messages and sign-ups: what you send through the contact form, and your email address if you join our newsletter.
- Technical data: basic logs such as IP address and browser type, used for security and to keep the site working.
How we use it
- To create your account, deliver what you bought and give you access to it.
- To send receipts, password resets and other messages about your account or orders.
- To reply to your enquiries.
- To send newsletters and offers, only if you subscribed. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- To prevent fraud and abuse, and to keep the service secure and reliable.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We use trusted service providers who process data on our behalf:
- Supabase for our database, sign-in and file storage.
- Stripe for card payments and refunds.
- Resend for sending email.
- Our hosting provider, which serves the website.
These providers may store data outside Nigeria. We only use providers that protect data to a standard comparable to ours. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep account and purchase records for as long as your account is active and as long as we need them for accounting, tax and dispute purposes. If you delete your account we remove your personal data, except records we are legally required to keep. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time.
Your rights
You can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, or stop using it for marketing. You can also object to how we use it. To do any of this, email info@flomtechnology.com from the address on your account and we will respond within 30 days.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you have the right to complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls between customers' data, and secure password storage. No system is perfectly secure, so please choose a strong, unique password and keep it private.
Children
Our services are for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we make significant changes we will update the date above and, where appropriate, tell you by email or on the site.
